frequently asked questions
Who is monoGLYPH.com? We are Domain Name Brokers representing the current owner of
regancy.com. We are looking for a new owner interested in using the domain name for their email and/or web site.
monoGLYPH.com has been performing domain brokerage services for over 19 years, and we have successfully matched over 4000 domain names with new owners.
What forms of payment do you accept? We process all transactions using PayPal, and you don't need a PayPal account to buy the domain name with your credit card. You can use VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, or if you have a PayPal account, you can pay using that account. You are taken to a secure page on PayPal to complete the transaction from our Payment page.
If you would like to use a trusted third party service such as ESCROW.COM, you can certainly do so. You will be responsible for all transaction fees. Complete the Contact Form on our site, then rather than making a selection on the Payment page, log into your ESCROW.COM account and initiate a Purchase of a Domain Name, No Content. Feel free to send me an email if you have questions.
If you are willing to transfer the domain name to GoDaddy.com, another trusted third party service that's often used is GoDaddy's Domain Buy Service. You can call GoDaddy to discuss their process.
How long does the transfer take?
monoGLYPH.com will transfer the registration rights to
regancy.com to the first person or entity from whom we receive full payment. If you remain with the current registrar, the domain name transfer will be completed within 4 hours of receipt of payment. If you want to transfer the domain name to your own Registrar, the domain name will be in your account at your Registrar in as long as it takes your Registrar to transfer the name after you initiate the transfer, usually from as little as a few hours to up to a day.
When can I start using the domain name?
If we create an account at the current Registrar, you can begin using the domain name for a web site and/or email using the Hosting company of your choice, immediately upon your receipt of the user name and password to your registrar account; these are sent to you within 4 hours of monoGLYPH.com receiving your payment. If you decide to transfer the name to your own Registrar, you can begin using the name as soon as it appears in your own Registrar account. This timeframe varies depending on the Registrar. e.g. In our experience, GoDaddy takes approximately 4 hours after you initiate the transfer whereas Network Solutions takes up to a day after you initiate the transfer, both very reasonable timeframes.
How does the domain name transfer work?
You first enter your contact information on the Contact page that shows after you click the Buy Now button. Then, on the Payment page that follows the Contact page, you click on a link to PayPal where you can make a secure online credit card payment - you don't need a PayPal account to make a credit card payment. If you do have a PayPal account, you can certainly use your account to purchase the registration rights to the domain name.
Once we receive payment, based on your preference, we will either transfer the domain name to an account set up at the current Registrar using your contact information, or you can immediately initiate a transfer of the domain name to your own Registrar (see next question for more on this).
If we create an account for you at the current Registrar, the transfer will be complete within 4 hours of our receiving payment and you will have complete use of the domain name at that time. If we do create an account at the current Registrar for you, one restriction is that the domain name must remain at that Registrar for at least 60 days - this is true of all Registrars. Once the transfer to the new account is complete, either at the current Registrar or at your Registrar, monoGLYPH.com will no longer be associated with the domain name; you will be free to change the access password, change contact information or name server information.
All domain names must be renewed annually with a Registrar. You will be responsible for the renewal fees associated with this domain name any time before the current registration expires. Renewal fees for the current Registrar are under $12 per year, paid directly to the Registrar. Multi-year renewals (up to 9 additional years at discounted rates) are available.
Can I transfer the domain name to my own registrar?
Yes, you can immediately transfer the domain name to your own Registrar. To do so, check the box on the Contact page to tell us NOT to create an account for you at the current Registrar.
After we receive payment, we will send you an Authorization Code which will allow you to transfer the name directly into your own Registrar account. Upon receipt of the Authorization Code, you must log into your Registrar account and request a Registrar to Registrar Transfer (it may be called something else at your Registrar). After you initiate the Registrar to Registrar transfer, the domain name will be in your account at your Registrar in as long as it takes your Registrar to transfer the name, usually from as little as a few hours (GoDaddy) to a day (Network Solutions). Once we send you the Authorization Code, monoGLYPH.com will no longer be associated or responsible for the domain name.
There is one restriction that could prevent a Registrar to Registrar transfer. Registrars are not allowed to transfer a name to another Registrar if the name has been with them for less than 60 days. Therefore, if we have had the name for less than 60 days, we cannot send you an Authorization Code and we will have to create an account for you at the current Registrar. If we cannot transfer the domain name to your registrar, the check box on the next page referred to above will not appear. After waiting 60 days, you can then transfer the name to your own Registrar.
After paying for the name, how can I be sure that I will get it? We have transferred over 4000 names over the past 19 years without a single problem. However, if you do not get what we say you will get, since we clear all credit card transactions through PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card with PayPal), you can either take advantage of the PayPal 100% Buyer Protection Guarantee or you can call your credit card company and reverse the transaction. But again, in 19 years, this has never happened.
You are responsible for conducting such investigations as may be necessary in your circumstances to determine whether the use of this domain name infringes on the rights of any other parties (e.g., trademarks).

monoGLYPH.com will not be held responsible for any damages resulting from your use of or inability to use this domain name, including business losses or loss of profits. Our entire liability is limited to the dollar amount that we received for the domain name.

If you decide to transfer the domain name now or in the future to another Registrar, you are responsible for any fees that your Registrar charges for the domain name transfer (most Registrars simply charge a one year Registration Fee) along with all future renewal fees that the Registrar charges.
Once purchased, you will own the Registration Rights to this domain name for as long as you pay the annual fees to the Registrar prior to the domain name's expiration date.
